About
Our Michelangelo Bacchus Sculpture is a reduction after the over life-size Renaissance statue of Dionysus (also known as Bacchus), the God of wine, in a pose suggestive of drunkenness. Behind the main Bacchus statue there is a faun, who eats the bunch of grapes slipping out of Bacchus's left hand. The inspiration for the work appears to be the description of Pliny the Elder in his book Natural History of a lost bronze statue by Praxiteles, depicting "Bacchus, Drunkenness and a satyr".
Bonded Marble
Our bonded marble sculpture is produced by combining white Carrara marble powder and resin as a binding material. This material is easily molded in order to achieve incredible details. The sculptures are finished by hand.
