This vase is a replica of the one currently on display in the Hispanic-Muslim Museum in the Alhambra Palace, Granada (Spain).
This is perhaps the most contemporary vase of all in the collection and dates back to the XV Century.
The jug is recreated after 28 years of research following the production guidelines, which were used by the potters of that century. Clay, crude alkaline enamels, blue cobalt, gilt, copper sulphate base, silver nitrate and bismuth subnitrate were used. Like an endless journey through time and matter, during the singlular process of three or more firings, the relevant physio-chemical reactions which intervene in the process are extracted from each one of the materials.
