In 1802 Napoleon Bonaparte summoned the finest Italian neoclassical sculptor, Antonio Canova, to Paris to do a series of sculptures of Napoleon.
After Napoleon saw one of the pieces, a marble relief with him wearing a laurel crown, he commissioned this large version.
Our sculpture is produced by a unique and proprietary dry casting process. They are made of white Carrara marble and over 90% of the finished sculpture is natural marble which gives it a look and feel of natural marble. They are finished by hand.
