• Our Diana of Gabii Life-size Statue (Large) or Artemis of Gabii is a reproduction masterpiece of the original Roman copy of a Greek statue from the 4th century B.C. (c. 330 B.C.). The original work, in marble of Paros, was discovered in 1792 at the ruins of Gabii, in northern of Italy. It belonged to the Borghese collection until 1807, when it was acquired by Napoleon. Nowadays it belongs to the Louvre Museum (Paris). Diana in Roman or Artemis in Greek Mythology is the goddess of the hunt, the moon and nature.

  Our large-size sculptures are crafted using a unique and proprietary dry casting process. Composed of over 90% natural white marble mixed with architectural resin, these statues achieve the authentic look and feel of natural marble. The sculptures feature a chiselled surface texture resembling soft bush-hammered stone, created through layered casting using advanced roto-casting technology. This method ensures a strong yet hollow structure, reducing cost and weight while maintaining durability.

  Each statue is meticulously hand-finished and patinated, with an optional aged beige patina available to add an antique touch. Structural reinforcement, such as PU foam core, sand, or metal, is incorporated as needed to ensure stability. Weather-resistant, these sculptures are designed to withstand the elements and retain their beauty in both indoor and outdoor environments.

  DECISION BETWEEN PURE WHITE AND AGED PATINA

  For indoor settings, we recommend the pure white finish for its brightness. For outdoor installations, the aged beige patina is recommended if it complements the building's architecture, while pure white remains a versatile choice for most settings. The intensity of the patina can also be chosen, with light beige being the default option. Please note that while the patina can always be added afterwards, the pure white finish cannot be restored once the patina is applied. Most of our customers choose the pure white version.

  INDOOR & OUTDOOR INSTALLATION

  Our life-size statues are expertly balanced on their bases to stand securely both indoors and outdoors. For added stability, the base can be secured using various methods, including resin glue, cementitious glue, or mechanical means such as iron bars or hooks.

  MAINTENANCE

  To maintain the best appearance of your outdoor statue, apply wax or polyurethane spray once a year. During cold winters, avoid ice accumulation in crevices by salting or covering them. In winter, most outdoor statues need protection against freezing, especially around the crevices where water gets trapped and expands, forming ice. The safest option is to cover the statue completely, as is done with public statues outdoors.

  Our sculptures are built to last. However, like any object placed outdoors without cover, they are subject to natural wear over time—and sculptures are no exception. Since ancient times, sculptures have required ongoing maintenance and periodic restoration. In fact, Greek and Roman statues were regularly painted and sealed for protection.
  
  We recommend inspecting your sculpture visually at least once a year. To preserve its condition, apply a water-repellent sealant every two years at a minimum. For optimal protection, one coat per year is ideal.
  
  Several factors influence the durability of outdoor sculptures:
  – Is the sculpture exposed to constant garden watering or located away from irrigation systems?
  – Is the water acidic (either from sprinklers or rainfall)?
  – How severe are the freeze–thaw cycles in your region?
  
  Sculptures should always be placed on a solid base, avoiding direct contact with wet soil.
  
  In the worst case scenario, leaving a sculpture outdoors without proper sealing can lead to visible surface damage within 1–2 winters. This often leads to micro-cracking, which, if left untreated, can result in structural damage within 2-5 winters. While restoration is possible, it is far more costly than routine maintenance such as sealing and filling minor cracks.
  
  Basic maintenance helps preserve the sculpture’s original beauty for decades—but it’s also a matter of personal preference. Some owners enjoy the natural aging and weathering that gives outdoor sculptures a more antique, time-worn character. Whether you prefer a pristine look or a patina of age, the choice is yours—and either way, the presence of a sculpture will enrich your outdoor space for years to come.
