How to package a fragile item for shipping

In this video we show how to package fragile items for shipment, such as antiques and high value items. At The Ancient Home we ship 100s of fragile items around the world every month. Year after year we improve our packaging process and try to employ as much sustainable packaging material as possible.

1st STEP: Most items ship protected with several layers of bubble wrap, with special attention to the fragile parts of the item.

2nd STEP: For added protection, heavy items are wrapped with a thick layer of packing foam.

3rd STEP: The bottom of the boxes are filled up with biodegradable packing peanuts.

4th STEP: Items are introduced and the remaining space inside the box filled up with peanuts.

5th STEP: Box is closed safely.

The weight grade of the boxes are carefully selected to support the weight of the items.

Since 2019, most of our boxes are closed with reinforced paper tape 100% recyclable with the carton box. If you enjoyed this video, don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel.
