Hermes was one of the twelve main Olympian gods, and known as a phallic god, god of fertility and good fortune. Hermes was the son of Zeus and half brother to Apollo.
Our Hermes bust sculpture is taken from the 2.34m statue, the only original work of Praxiteles to be found, at the temple of Hera in 1877. Hermes is holding the infant Dionysus on his shoulder.
Our sculpture is produced by a unique and proprietary dry casting process. They are made of white Carrara marble and over 90% of the finished sculpture is natural marble which gives it a look and feel of natural marble. They are finished by hand.
