      • Large Augustus Caesar bust, a masterpiece of young Octavian, the future first emperor of Rome (63 BC – AD 14).

        Our marble bust of Augustus is a replica of the later copy at Chatsworth House of the Roman original.

        This masterpiece has fine surface, with precise detail to the hair, and a carved name plate to the socle.

        Augustus Caesar was the first emperor of the Roman Empire, which he ruled alone from 27 BC until his death in AD 14. Born Gaius Octavius Thurinus, he was adopted by his great-uncle Gaius Julius Caesar in 44 BC via his last will and testament.  Upon his adoption he also was officially named Gaius Julius Caesar.

        Due to his various names during his rule, he is usually called Octavius when referring to historical events between 63 and 44 BC, Octavian when referring to historical events between 44 and 27 BC, and Augustus when referring to events after 27 BC.

        Our sculpture is produced by a unique and proprietary dry casting process. They are made of white Carrara marble and over 90% of the finished sculpture is natural marble which gives it a look and feel of natural marble. They are finished by hand.
