Our Michelangelo Moses Statue is a reduction after the masterpice sculpture (Mosè di michelangelo) by Michelangelo Buonarroti, the renown Italian High Renaissance artist, currently housed in the church of San Pietro in Rome. Commissioned in 1505 by Pope Julius II for his tomb, the artwork depicts the biblical figure Moses with horns on his head, based on a description in chapter 34 of Exodus in the Vulgate, the Latin translation of the Bible used at that time.
Bonded Marble
Our bonded marble sculpture is produced by combining white Carrara marble powder and resin as a binding material. This material is easily molded in order to achieve incredible details. The sculptures are finished by hand.
