About

This Flemish wall tapestry is extracted from a set of 14 tapestries called "l'Histoire du roi" (the story of the king) woven at the Gobelins during the second half of the XVIIth century. This small extract with added border represents when Lille was taken over spanish on the 28th of august 1667 and it is woven in wool, silk or both, it is lined with a plain beige cotton fabric and has an integral sleeve for hanging.
